Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical value of osteopontin(OPN) and combined detection of the serum levels of OPN and CA125 in patients with endometriosis. Methods:The serum levels of OPN and CA125 from 30 cases with endometriosis(study group) and 35 cases normal women(control group) were enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and chemiluminescence immunoassay(CLIA).Results:The levels of OPN and CA125 in endometriosis in study group were significantly higher than those in control group. Both serum OPN and CA125 levels of the preoperative endometriosis were higher than those of the postoperative endometriosis. The levels of OPN and CA125 in severe endometriosis were significantly higher than those in mild patients(P0.01).Conclusion:The osteopontin can be used in diagnosing and monitoring of endometriosis. The clinical value can be increased use of OPN and CA125.
