Abstract

Chronic conditions—such as chronic pain, hypertension, depression, and diabetes—pose significant challenges to contemporary healthcare systems. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), including acupuncture, yoga, and herbal therapies, offers evidence-based approaches that address biopsychosocial complexities. This article synthesises current research on CAM integration, demonstrating efficacy in improving outcomes while reducing pharmaceutical reliance. We highlight mechanistic insights, clinical evidence, and synergistic benefits, alongside addressing challenges like methodological heterogeneity. By advocating for an evidence-informed model, we propose pathways to bridge gaps in chronic disease management, fostering a more holistic healthcare paradigm.
