Advancement in combined treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine of endometrioss

Endometriosis is a frequently encountered and stubborn disease in clinic.The characteristics of not being cured and easy recurrence make the pharmacotherapy more inportant.The main indications of pharmacotherapy are mild to moderate endometriosis and preoperative preparation or postoperative after treatment for severe endometriosis.For present,there isn't a therapy to cure endometriosis radically.Both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine have their own limitations for treatment of endometriosis.Combination treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine not only reduces the dosage,side effects of western medicine and recurrence rate of the disease,but also makes up for a shortage of slow appearance of therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine.In this article,we reviewed advancements in study on combined treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine of endometriosis in recent years.
