Abstract

Objective The purpose is to investigate the value of ultrasound in assessing uterine arterial embolization for the treatment of adenomyosis and uterine leiomyoma. Methods Sixty-eight cases of adenomyosis and uterine leiomyoma were observed by ultrasound before a week and follow up 1,6 and 12 months when the uterine arterial embolization has been taken. Results The volume of adenomyosis, Uterine and leiomyoma are all decreased. The most significantly decreased cases are those of adenomyomyosis and uterine leiomyoma. Conclusion Ultrasound pays in an important part in assessing the effect of the treatment of adenomyosis and uterine leiomyoma underwent uterine arterial embolization.
