Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between the expression of CD44s and isoform v6 and the pathogensis of endometriosis. Methods:The expressions of CD44s and isoform v6 were detected with SP immunohistochemiscal technic in 20 cases of ovarian endometriotic tissues and matching eutopic endometriums and 20 cases of normal endometriums.Results:①The positive expressions of CD44s and isoform v6 were observed in most of secretory pattern of normal glandular epithelial cells and negative in a proliferative pattern.②The expressed regulation of CD44s and isoform v6 in glandular epithelium of eutopic endometrium was same as the normal group, but there was expression of CD44s in a proliferative pattern(3/10).③The expression intensity of staining of CD44s in glandular epithelium of ovarian ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in normal group (P0.05).The expression of isoform v6 had no statistic significance compared with normal group.④The stroma was only positive for CD44s both in proliferative and secretory patterns, and negative for isoform v6. The expression intensity of staining of CD44s in stromal cells of ovarian ectopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in normal group(P0.05).Conclusion:①The expression of CD44s and isoform v6 in glandular epithelium of normal endometrium shows a cyclic change, which means that its expression of CD44 may be correlated with ovary hormonal regulation.②The strong expression of CD44s in endometriotic tissue may play an important role in the adhesion between the endometriotic tissue and peritoneum.
