Abstract
The invention relates to the use of hyperforin and/or pharmaceutically compatible derivatives thereof for treating illnesses wherein pathological angiogenesis occurs. Diseases which can be treated are illnesses of the blood vessels, skin diseases, endometriosis of the uterus, angioproliferative retinopathy, illnesses of the bones and joints and cancer with excessive angiogenesis. Adhyperforin, based on the improved effectiveness thereof, has greater stability compared to hyperforin.
