Abstract
Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease affecting about 10% of women of reproductive age and is one of the leading causes of female infertility. It is characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterine cavity, causing pelvic pain, inflammation and fertility problems. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), focusing on restoring the body’s energy balance, emerges as an effective complementary approach, using acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion and dietary therapy. Objective: This article analyzes endometriosis and infertility from the TCM perspective, exploring associated energetic syndromes, diagnostic methods and therapeutic approaches. Methodology: Methodology included a comprehensive literature review and the presentation of a clinical case resulting in natural pregnancy after TCM treatment. Results: Results show that combining TCM techniques is effective not only in pain relief and menstrual cycle regulation, but also in creating a favorable environment for conception. Conclusions: It is concluded that TCM represents a promising integrative strategy for treating endometriosis and infertility.
