Abstract

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effectiveness by taking drugs after transvaginal puncture in treating patients with ovarian endometriotic cysts. Methods A total of 61 cases with ovarian endometriotic cysts were divided into two groups after puncture and injection of anhydrous ethanol, 42 cases with oral medicine (danazol 22, nemestrin 20) and 19 without medicine, then the effects were compared. Results In the group with medicine 3/42 recurred with the rate of recurrence as 7.1%; In the group without medicine 8/19 recurred, with the rate of recurrence as 42.2 % . There were significant difference between two groups (P 0.05 ) . Conclusions The treatment of ovarian endometriotic cysts by transvaginal puncture combined with oral drugs was much better than the simple puncture. This is much more suitable in cases sterility as well as recurrence after operation.
