Effect of mifepristone on expression of TNF-α in endometriosis rats model

Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of mifepristone on the expression of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) in endometriosis rat models.Methods Endometriosis model rats were randomly divided into control group and experimental group.Experimental rats were given 3 weeks of oral administration of mifepristone.Expression of TNF-α in ectopic uterine endometrial tissue and endometrium in both groups were determined by immunohistochemical method,and TNF-α mRNA in both groups were measured by Real-time PCR.Results Expression of TNF-α in ectopic endometrial tissue was significant lower than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The efficiency of mifepristone on endometriosis may be related with the decreasing expression of TNF-α.
