Abstract

【Objective】To compare the efficacy and safety of mifepristone and danazol after conservative surgery in the treatment of patients with endometriosis.【Methods】Sixty-one patients with endometriosis after conservative surgery were treated orally either with mifepristone or danazol for 6 months.Changes of symptoms and signs, serum reproductive hormone levels as well as side effects were assessed before and at the end of therapy.【Results】The difference of clinical effects between group A and group B did not have any statistic significance(P0.05),the abnormal rate of ALT and the weight gain of group A and group B had obvious difference(P0.05).【Conclusion】Mifepristone is equally effective as danazol when combined with conservative surgery in the management of endometriosis with fewer side effects.
