Application and Outcome Analysis of 845 Infertility Cases Underwent Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy Diagnosis and Treatment

Abstract

Objective:To analyze the application of hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy in diagnosis and treatment of infertility and the related pregnancy outcome.Methods:The clinical data of 845 female infertility cases from January 2003 to December 2008 were retrospectively analysed.Results:4 patients were converted to laparotomy with 99.5% achievement rate of operation.Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is the main reason for the secondary infertility,accounting for 59.9%;endometriosis is the main reason for female primary infertility,accounting for 48.3%.Normal uterine cavity were checked with hysteroscopy in 653 cases(77.6%);and successful pregnancy cases archived by 446 cases(53.0%)after operation.Conclusions:Laproscope combined with hysteroscopy can quickly and accurately define the exact cause of female infertility and sites,and also can execute targeted treatment.Therefore it is the reliable method for infertility diagnosis and treatment.
