Abstract
Objective: To explore the influence of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa) on recurrence and life quality of endometriosis patients. Methods: Eighty-two endometriosis patients in our hospital from January 2010 to January 2012 were divided into an observation group and a control group with 41 cases each by digital randomized method. Both groups were treated by conventional endometriosis surgery and postoperative anti-infection therapy, and in addition, the observation group was treated by triptorelin(ih, 3.75 mg, once every 28 days for 3 times) in the second day of menstruation after the surgery. The efficacy, recurrence and life quality were compared between two groups. Results: The proportion of patients with obvious efficacy was 58.54% and the treatment efficiency is 97.56% in the observation group, which were both significantly higher than those in the control group. Recurrence rates of 6 months, 1 year and 2 years after the surgery in the observation group were 2.44%, 2.44% and 4.88%, respectively, which were lower than those in the control group. Life quality score in the two groups were improved after treatment, and was higher in the observation group than in the control group. Conclusion: GnRHa has significant efficacy in the adjuvant treatment of endometriosis and can reduce postoperative recurrence and improve life quality, which is worthy of clinical use.
