Treatment selection and cause of infertility in patients with adenomyosis

Adenomyosis is a hormonal dependent disease,its mechanism of infertility includes intimal stem cells theory,endometrial myometrial interface (EMI) theory,hyperprolactinemia and its clinical correlative factors. Treatment tends to be diversified,single or symphyseal,multi-focused multidirectional considerations in various stages. It includes expectant management,surgery,drug therapy,different ultrasound-guided treatment,uterine artery embolization (UAE) implant of Levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG-IUS),and so on. Treatments must follow individualized treatment principles to improve the conception rate of patients with adenomyosis.
