Relationship Between Tubal Patent Test and Endometriosis

Abstract
Objective: To study the relationship between tubal patent test and endometrosis. Methods: Taking 104 cases with tubal patent factor infertility and performing tubal patent test by liquid instillation and collecting the liquid overflowing during surgical procedure. Then using Papanicolaou's stain to test endometrial cells. Results: There were 29 cases with endometriosis(27. 88% ) and endometrial cells were 63 cases(66. 67% ). However, there were no significant difference compared with the positive rates of endometrial cells at different time in menstrual cycle. Conclusion: Tubal patent test which takes the en- dometrial cells into pelvic cavity may be the cause of endometriosis.
