Abstract
Abstract The Thiosemicarbazide Potassium Bromide (TSCPB) single crystals have been grown by the slow evaporation solution growth technique. The lattice parameters and crystalline nature of the grown TSCPB crystals have been studied by single XRD analysis. The chemical composition and the corresponding functional groups of the grown TSCPB have been confirmed by FTIR studies. The optical transparency of TSCPB in the visible region has been confirmed by the UV-Vis-NIR spectrum, and it has also been ensured by the maximum wavelength emission from the photoluminescence study. The band gap of the TSCPB material was calculated from optical absorption studies. The DSC analysis ascertained the thermal stability of the material. The morphology of the grown TSCPB crystal was studied. The second harmonic generation of TSCPB crystal has been determined by the standard Kurtz and Perry powder method.
