Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression tumor necrosis factor_α(TNF-α) in the pathogenesis of endometriosis(EMs).Methods: Immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expression of TNF_α in ectopic endometrium from 39 patients with EMs and the endometrium of 40 controls.Results: TNF_α mainly expressed in plasma of glandular cell,and rarely located in nucleus.It was significant higher in endometriosis than that in normal endometrium.Conclusion: The abnormal expression of TNF_α in ectopic endometrium from EMs may plays an imporant role in the progression of endometriosis.
