Hysterosalpingographic appearances of endometrial tuberculosis

Objective To evaluate the hysterosalpingographic manifestations of endometrial tuberculosis.MethodsEighteen cases of endometrial tuberculosis were enrolled,which were proved by hysteroscopy-laparoscopy,curettage biopsy,histologic examination,culture,polymerase chain reaction,or pathobiology.The hysterosalpingography(HSG)findings of endometrial tuberculosis were anlyzed.Results HSG findings included specific and non-specific features.Specific features of endometrial tuberculosis were found in 14 cases,including clover-like,T-shaped,pseudomonas horn,finger-like uterus,etc;non-specific features of endometrial tuberculosis were found in 4cases,including endometritis,synechiae,distortion of uterine contour,and intravenous contrast agents infiltrated.Conclusion HSG is an important diagnostic tool for endometrial tuberculosis,which can be considered as the routine evaluation of female with unexplained infertility as early as,and provide the important informations to clinic treatment of infertility.
