Clinical analysis on 108 cases with uterine myoma and adenomyosis treated by high intensity focused ultrasound

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) clinical curative effect in the treatment of uterine myoma and adenomyosis.Methods:One hundred and eight cases with uterine myoma and adenomyosis were treated by HIFU from October,2010 to May,2013 in our hospital.The clinical efficacy and safety of HIFU therapy were analyzed by observing the patients symptoms,intraoperative and postoperative reaction and imaging changes.Results:The total effective rate was 99% in the 108 patients and effective rate was 82.4%.There were no skin burn,sacral nerve injury and other complications during the therapy.Conclusion:The HIFU treatment of uterine myoma and adenomyosis has curative effect,little injury to patients.It is a noninvasive treatment and a safe and effective treatment for uterine myoma and adenomyosis.
