Meta- analysis on expression level of TNF- α in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis

Objective: To explore the probability of tumor necrosis factor-α( TNF-α) in peripheral blood as an index of diagnosis and staging determination of endometriosis. Methods: The literatures about TNF- α detection in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis in recent ten years were retrieved for Meta analysis,the differences of TNF- α expressions in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis and peripheral blood of normal women of childbearing age and TNF- α expressions in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis of different stages were compared. Results: TNF- α expression level in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis was significantly higher than that in peripheral blood of normal women of childbearing age; TNF- α expression level in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis of stage Ⅲ- Ⅳ was significantly higher than that in peripheral blood of patients with endometriosis of stage Ⅰ- Ⅱ. Conclusion:TNF- α is closely correlated with occurrence and development of endometriosis,TNF- α detection in peripheral blood has a certain significance in diagnosis,staging and treatment of endometriosis.
