Abstract
Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of early-stage laparoscopic surgery and open surgery for ovarian endometrioma. Methods:Clinical data of 58 cases with ovarian endometrioma undergoing surgical treatment (37 for laparoscopic surgery and 21 for open surgery) were analyzed retrospectively, and the operative time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative morbidity, the time of antibiotics use, postoperative hospitalization, the rates of analgesia pump use and incision healing were compared between the two groups. Results:Compared with open surgery group, the laparoscopic group was of less intraoperative blood loss, lower rates of analgesia pump use, shorter time of hospitalization, operation, fever and antibiotics use. Conclusions:Laparoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian endometrioma, during which strict indications, the time of conversion to open surgery, prevention and treatment of complications should be mastered.
