Die chirurgische Therapie der tief infiltrierenden Endometriose ist technisch anspruchsvoll. Das gilt insbesondere für die Parametrienbeteiligung. Die Kenntnis einer solchen Konstellation erleichtert die Operationsplanung. Ein Forscherteam aus Italien ging nun der Frage nach, wie sich der Parametrienbefall vaginalsonografisch darstellt und welche diagnostische Genauigkeit die präoperative Ultraschalluntersuchung erreicht.
