However, some of these studies have been affected by bias due to methodology, medicine, or cultural differences. Adequate measures have not been appropriately adapted or reviewed to control this bias. This study aims to explore the tools used to measure the atitudes of adults above 16 years towards persons living with HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa. The study was conducted using a scoping review guided by the PRISMA framework. Four databases were searched: Medline, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and Embase. Search strategies were applied using Boolean operators such as "AND," "OR," and "NOT." The data extraction form was used to extract papers after full-text eligibility screening. Data were analyzed using a descriptive/narrative synthesis. The results indicate that limited information was available on piloting, validating, and adapting the measurement tools used to assess the atitudes of persons with HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan African countries. However, this study recommends that to avoid potential response bias when conducting similar research, it is essential to accurately translate the items from one language to another and culturally adapt them to maintain the instrument's content validity at a conceptual level. This study will serve as a preliminary guide for futureresearchers conducting similar research. It will allow the researcher to analyze the existing literature and identify key concepts, research gaps, and types of evidence in the study.
