Abstract

Antiserum to rat deciduoma produced in the rabbit cross-reacted with mouse deciduoma extract in agar gel double diffusion test. The results of immunoelectrophoresis revealed that the mouse deciduoma extract contained one antigen specific to deciduoma. This antigen has a mobility similar to the antigen found in rat deciduoma. Intraluminal injection of the antiserum to the mouse uterus suppressed deciduoma formation. These results suggest that mechanisms of decidualization in both species may involve similar cellular changes in producing new substances in the decidualized tissue.
