Abstract

Objective:To summarize the diagnosis methods of endometriosis in colon and rectum,and its colonoscopy sign and clinic characters.To investigate the value about diagnosis of colorectal endometriosis by endoscopic technique.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 3 patients treated by surgery and pathology confirmed as endometriosis in colon and rectum and review literature.Result:All the patients received colonoscopy and biopsy,and inflammation were reported.One of the 3 patients underwent laparotomy with bowel resection.Two of the 3 patients underwent laparoscopic surgery at first,because of adhesion in part,changed the treatment via laparotomy.All of the 3 patients pathological return were endometriosis.Conclusion:Endoscopy,EUS and EUS-FNA are minimally invasive,sensitive techniques for the diagnosis of endometriosis in colon and rectum.
