Abstract

Aim: To compare the levels of IL-6 in endometriotic tissue and in endometrium from rat with endometriosis, controls and treated group. Methods: According to Jones method, rat animal models with endometriosis was established. IL-6 levels were determined by double antibody ELISA. Results: Endometriotic tissue produce lower IL-6 than emdometrium, the levels of IL-6 in endometriotic and endometrial tissue from Danazol treated rats were remarkably increased than that from untreated rats. Conclusion: The lower levels of IL-6 in endometriotic tissue may be related to the pathogenesis of the endometriosis. The treated mechanism of Danazol may be partly to increase the IL-6 level in endome triotic tissue.
