Analysis on constitutes of gynecological diseases of hospitalized patients in 10 years in department of obstetrics and gynecology in Women and Children Health Care Hospital of Shanxi province

Abstract

Objective To investigate the disease constitutes of gynecological inpatients for evaluating the level of medical quality in our hospital,rationally allocating medical resources and providing a scientific basis for the prevention and health care of gynecological diseases. Methods The inpatient from January 2000 to December 2009 in department of obstetrics and gynecology in Women and Children Health Care Hospital of Shanxi Province were retrospectively researched and analyzed. Results The gynecological patients and the involved diseases showed a increasing trend year by year.Gynecological benign tumor,the first place,accounted for 27.96% of hospitalized patients in 2000,and dropped to the second place(27.15%) after the year of 2005.Non-inflammatory diseases rose from 12.77% in 2000(the second) to 29.16 % in 2003(the first).Incidence of endometriosis and its proportion in non-inflammatory diseases increased from year to year.The constitutes of endocrine disorders and cancer were stable. Conclusion The prevention and control of common and frequently-occurring diseases,such as benign tumors,non-inflammatory diseases should be focused in the future.Moreover,more attention should be paid to strengthen the health publicity and education of women of child-bearing age,increase the clinical cure rate,and optimize the allocation of resources.
