Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy of mifepristone and gestrinone in treatment of patients with pelvic endometriosis after operation.Methods One hundred patients with pelvic endometriosis were randomly divided into three groups:40 cases in mifepristone(12.5 mg/d) group,40 in gestrinone(2.5 mg,twice a week) group,the treatment in these two groups was started at one week after the operation for 6 months and 20 patients were in control group(without drug treatment),all of them were regularly followed-up.Results The remission of symptoms of dysmenorrhea in varying degree were seen in patients of these 3 groups.The complete remission rates in patients of mifepristone and gestrinone groups were 85.0 % and 87.5 % respectively,and it was significantly higher than that of control group(55.0 %)(P0.05).The recurrence rates in mifepristone and gestrinone groups were 7.5 % and 5.0 % respectively,and it was significantly lower than that of control group(20.0%)(P0.05).Conclusion The consolidation therapy with mifepristone and gestrinone for post-operation treatment of pelvic endometriosis is safe and effective with less adverse reactions.
