Research Progress in Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Releasing System Treating Endometriosis

Levonorgestrel intrauterine releasing system(LNG-IUS),through releasing 20 μ g/d dose of efficient progestational hormone,making the endometrial glands atrophy,interstitial decidual change,mucous membrane thinned,can effectively relieve EMs patients dysmenorrhea,deep sexual pain and chronic pelvic pain,reduce uterine volume,reduce menstrual quantity,and reduce the moderate/severe dysmenorrhea recurrence rate of conservative surgery.In recent years,LNG-IUS has achieved good effect in relieving EMs and preventing the recurrence.
