This delay in diagnosis averages around 7 years, and research into new means of rapid diagnosis is at the forefront of endometriosis discussions.Studying genes allows for a deeper understanding of the pathology's profile and potentially, one day, being able to screen for it before symptoms arise based on individual and familial risk factors. The current care pathway remains cumbersome and doesn't always lead to a definitive diagnosis. However, a major innovation in rapid diagnosis of the condition, called Endotest, is on the verge of being commercially available on a large scale in France, which would revolutionize patient care.
