In-Silico Investigation of SNP rs9637231 effect on LINC02892 lncRNA secondary structure

Abstract

Long noncoding RNAs include more than 200 nucleotides and do not translate to protein. they have a multidimensional role in the cell cycle, cell differentiation, cell proliferation, and stress response via their secondary and tertiary structures. They have an important role in gene expression at multiple levels such as chromatin modification, transcription, splicing, post-transcriptional regulation, translation, protein modification, and RNA-protein interaction. The secondary structure of RNA involves gene regulation at several stages, including RNA localization, stability, splicing, and translation efficiency. DNA variations such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and mutations may impact the structure, expression, and function of lncRNAs. Here We investigated the effects of C to T alteration of SNP rs9637231 on lncRNA secondary and tertiary structures by in-silico study and we enquired about SNP rs9637231 alteration effect on lncRNA-protein interaction statically.
