It maps state wise crime rates against the national average, while also acknowledging the silent burden of unreported cases. The study also reviews the age demographics of those arrested, offering insights into age patterns. In this backdrop, it studies the number of monthly cases handled by Indian courts from 2020–2022. These trends are placed alongside markers of social unrest and significant policy shifts, helping to trace how society and institutions respond to rising crime.
