Abstract
Preoperation And Postoperation Anti Mullerian Hormone Levels In Patients With Endometrioma Objective: Anti-Mullerian Hormon (AMH) primarily roles in male sex diferantiation and is a member ofTransforming Growth Factor-b family Infemale it is secreted from the granulosa cells of the growingfollicle and suggested as an indicator of ovarian reserves. In our study our target is to point out if AMH levels changes in patients with endometrioma strippingprocedure. Material and Method: Study includes 47patients applied stripping because of endometrioma in GATA Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic.(Study group). Patients, 33 with unilateral and 14 with bilateral endometrioma, are gathered among whose endometrioma dimensions are above 45mm. Ovarian endometrioma stripping procedure is executed to allpatient group. Results: No significant distinction was detected between the preoperative AMH levels of the patients with unilateral and bilateral endometrioma, compared with the control group (p=0.98 ve p=0.71). No significant differencewas detected between the two groups statistically (p=0.86). Conclusion: Our results show that preoperative AMH levels inpatients with endometrioma has no altering effect on follicular pool. In short term follow, endometrioma stripping procedure does not damage healthy, AMH secreting ovarian tissue.
