A Cost-effective Communication Model for Requirements Elictation in Global Software Development

Requirement elicitation is an important activity performed during requirement engineering. Requirement elicitation becomes more significant in global software development. In global software development, effective communication among stakeholders required for better requirement elicitation. Time zone, cultural and language difference are factors which has strong influence on communication in global software development. These factors affect the timely coordination which might affects the quality of software. Researcher proposed communication models for requirement elicitation in global software development. The aim of this study is to critically review the existing communication models presented for requirement elicitation in global software development. This review will provide the publication trends, introductory overview, strength, and limitations of existing proposed communication model for requirement elicitation in global software development. Based on limitations we will propose new cost-effective communication model for requirement elicitation in global software development. Finally, a case study-based experiment will be performed to see the effectiveness of proposed techniques.
