Abstract
Objective To observe the expression of CD24 in women with endometriosis and to elucidate the role of CD24 in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Methods Imunohistochemical SP method was used to measure the expression of the CD24 in ectopic endometrium group(n=48) with endometriosis, eutopic endometrium group(n=48) with endometriosis and endometrium from women with benign diseases(n=30,control group)specimens and the expression of the CD24 in glandular epithelial cells of endometrium、stromal cells of endometrium and different menstruation circles.ResultsThe positive rate of CD24 was significantly higher in ectopic and eutopic endometrium groups with endometriosis than those in control group(all P0.05).The positive rate of CD24 was significantly higher in glandular epithelial cells than in stromal cells in ectopic and eutopic endometrium group with endometriosis and control group(all P0.01).The positive rate of CD24 was significantly higher in stromal cells in eutopic endometrium than those in control group(P0.05).The positive rate of CD24 was significantly lower in ectopic and eutopic endometrium group in proliferative phase, control group in proliferative phase、secretory phase than in eutopic endometrium in secretory phase(all P0.05).ConclusionCD24 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
