Abstract

Abstract Carbon sequestration is of crucial importance in combating the negative effects of greenhouse gas emissions and is becoming increasingly important in the current environmental debate. This study examines different methods of carbon sequestration, particularly in the reservoirs of major oil and gas industries. Important factors to consider in this complicated area are the identification of suitable storage sites, thorough evaluation of injection methods, implementation of strong monitoring techniques, and comprehensive assessment of potential environmental impacts. Through a thorough analysis of current research and real-world examples, this study provides valuable perspectives on the effectiveness and practicality of carbon storage in reservoirs developed specifically for the oil and gas sector.
