Abstract
Objective:To observe the curative effect of ozone for treatment of patients with refractory colpitis. Methods:Two hundred patients with refractory colpitis who were treated in the hospital from January 2009 to June 2011 were collected, and then they were randomly divided into control group and observation group,100 patients in each group. The patients in control group were treated with routine vaginal administration, while the patients in observation group were treated with KY-138A ozone gynecological therapeutic apparatus. The improvements of symptoms, remission times of symptoms, curative rates, recurrence rates, and adverse reactions in the two groups before and after treatment were observed. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups, but the curative rate, remission time of symptoms,VAS score of subjective symptoms, and recurrence rate in observation group were statistically significantly higher than those in control group. Conclusion:Ozone is a safe and effective method for treatment of refractory colpitis.
