Abstract

Objective To establish an allograft endmetriosis model. Methods 24 female Wistar rats were used to induce endometriosis through allogeneic uterus transplants.30 female Wistar rats received autologous uterus transplant were used as control. Results 12 weeks after transplantation, the successful rate with allograft method in rats was 83.3%,and that the autologous was 76.7%,and there was significant difference. The activities of epithelial cells of endometria in both autologous and allogenic transplantation groups were similar to the activities of epithelial cells in the normal endometria. And they had the similar period changes and physiological characteristics to the entopic endometrium. The humoral response and the level of C3,C4 and IgG were also elevated in the rats receiving allogenic transplantation. However, the level of IgM was lower and the level of IgA was not changed. The concentration of IgG for the allogeneic tissues was significantly higher than the rats receiving autologous transplantation. Conclusion A model of endometriosis by allograft transplantation was successfully established using Wistar rat.
