OA: closed
Abstract
To evaluate the levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-#alpha#) and transforming growth factor-#beta# 1(TGF-#beta#1) in peritoneal fluid on pathogenesis of endometriosis(EM).Methods:The TNF-#alpha# and TGF-#beta# 1 levels in peritoneal fluid of 30 endometriosis patients and 21 control patients were determined by radioimmunoassay and enzyme linked immunoabsorbentassay(ELISA). Results: TNF-#alpha# and TGF-#beta# 1 levels in peritoneal fluid of endometriosis patients and control patients were (1534±277)ng/L and (1.2±0.4) ug/L respectively,at stages I and Ⅱ,and (2236±392)ng/L and (0.8±0.3)ug/L respectively,at stages Ⅲ and Ⅳ,(1432±523)ng/L,(0.9±0.4)ug/L. TNF-#alpha# level in peritoneal fluid in endometriosis patients (P0.05) between the two groups.TNF-#alpha# level in peritoneal fluid plays a role in pathophysiology in endometriosis.
