Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 68 patients with Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fractures. Control group was treated with 3 hollow screws internal fixation, and observation group was treated with lateral femoral neck support plate on the basis of control group. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, hip function score (Harris score) and postoperative complications were compared between two groups. Results In observation group, the operation time 60–120 min, intraoperative blood loss from 20 to 100 ml, the hospitalization time was 7–18 days. There were 3 cases of fracture nonunion, 2 cases of avascular necrosis of femoral head, and 1 case of wound infection, which were cured by one-stage debridement. In control group, there were 4 cases of fracture nonunion, 3 cases of avascular necrosis of femoral head, and 2 cases of wound infection. The VAS score of observation group was lower than that of control group at 3 and 6 months after operation. The Harris score of observation group was higher than that of control group at 3 and 6 months after operation. Conclusion The quality of fracture reduction is satisfactory, which can effectively promote the recovery of hip joint function and reduce postoperative complications. This internal fixation system is a good choice for the treatment of Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fractures. lateral femoral neck support plate for Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fractures.\u003c/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eMethods\u003c/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA retrospective analysis was performed on 68 patients with Pauwels type Ⅲ femoral neck fractures. Control group was treated with 3 hollow screws internal fixation, and observation group was treated with lateral femoral neck support plate on the basis of control group. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, hip function score (Harris score) and postoperative complications were compared between two groups.\u003c/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eResults\u003c/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn observation group, the operation time 60\u0026ndash;120 min, intraoperative blood loss from 20 to 100 ml, the hospitalization time was 7\u0026ndash;18 days. There were 3 cases of fracture nonunion, 2 cases of avascular necrosis of femoral head, and 1 case of wound infection, which were cured by one-stage debridement. In control group, there were 4 cases of fracture nonunion, 3 cases of avascular necrosis of femoral head, and 2 cases of wound infection. The VAS score of observation group was lower than that of control group at 3 and 6 months after operation. The Harris score of observation group was higher than that of control group at 3 and 6 months after operation.\u003c/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eConclusion\u003c/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe quality of fracture reduction is satisfactory, which can effectively promote the recovery of hip joint function and reduce postoperative complications.
