Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect and adverse reaction of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) on adenomyosis.Methods:The scores of dysmenorrhea and menstrual blood loss by PBAC of 40 cases with adenomyosis were detected before and 3,6,12 months later after placement of LNG-IUS.Results:The scores of dysmenorrhea and menstrual blood loss by PBAC on 3 months after placement of LNG-IUS were lower than those before placement (P0.01);27 cases were with varying degrees of anxiety before placement,but no case broke off the treatment.Conclusion:LNG-IUS is an effective,safe and conservative method for adenomyosis;sufficient education may enhance the compliance of patient.
