Abstract
The prevalence of uterine fibroids is increasing year by year. Focused ultrasound ablation surgery (FUAS) has been widely used in the treatment of uterine fibroids due to its advantages of non-invasive, non-ionizing radiation and uterine preservation. In the treatment of uterine fibroids with FUAS, ultrasound images are used as the monitor of the surgical process. The combination of ultrasound image guidance and magnetic resonance image can achieve more accurate and efficient navigation in FUAS. The current image navigation is not accurate and intelligent. Therefore, this paper investigates intelligent registration of ultrasound images and magnetic resonance images and intelligent tracking and registration correction techniques for FUAS. In our study, 90% of the cases had good tracking effect, which was equal to the manual registration results of experienced doctors. 5% of cases need a small amount of manual adjustment. In addition, 5% of the cases could not achieve the expected tracking effect due to the large deformation of the body state during the treatment compared with the MRI examination.
