Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of leptin on the apoptosis and proliferation of uterine endometrial cells cultured in vitro from patients with endometriosis. Methods Human uterine ectopic, eutopic, normal endometrial cells were cultured in vitro. The influence of leptin on endometrial cells proliferation was detected with MTT method, the apoptosis of cells was determined with flow cytometry. Results Compared with control group(treated with leptin at concentration of 0 ng/mL),the proliferation was promoted in leptin treated groups with concentration of 1,10,100 ng/mL groups, besides the eutopic endometrial cells treated with 1 ng/mL leptin had no significant difference with control group(P0.05).The apoptosis of three cells were all obviously inhibited at different concentration of leptin compared with control group, the inhibitory effect was in a dose dependent manner(P0.05).Conclusion Leptin could promote the proliferation and inhibit the apotosis of human uterine ectopic, eutopic, normal endometrial cells.
