Abstract

Summary. Chlormadinone, an orally active progestagen, was administered in conjunction with an oestrogen to normally menstruating and to postmenopausal women, and the changes induced in the uterine endometrium are described. The effects are not governed solely by the nature of the progestagen, but are directly related to the proliferative state of the endometrium at the start of treatment.
