THE CORRELATION OF EXPRESSIONS BETWEEN NUCLEAR RECEPTOR COACTIVATOR AIB1 AND ESTROGEN AND PROGESTERONE RECEPTORS IN ENDOMETRIOSIS

Objective To study the expression of AIB1 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium in patients with endometriosis (EM), and its association with the expressions of ER and PR.MethodsThe expressions of AIB1, ER and PR, in both eutopic and ectopic endometrium of 45 EM patients, as well as in 42 normal control endometrium were detected immunohistochemically.ResultsThe expressions of AIB1 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium in EM patients were significantly higher than that of the control group (t=15.897,14.430;P0.01). ER and PR expressions in ectopic endometrium were lower than that of the control (t′=4.482,2.937;P0.05). AIB1 expression in ectopic endometrium was negatively related to ER (r=-0.712,P0.01).ConclusionThe abnormal expressions of AIB1, ER and PR in endometrium may be correlated with the pathogenesis and development of EM.
