Abstract

Objective To investigate the association between risk of endometriosis and B- cell lymphoma- 2(Bcl-2) gene polymorphism. Methods The genotypes of Bcl-2 gene rs1800477A/G and rs2279115A/C in337 control individuals(without endometriosis) and 302 case individuals(endometriosis) were identified by allele specific- polymerase chain reaction(AS- PCR) and DNA sequencing. Results The frequencies of genotype AA,AG and GG of Bcl- 2gene rs1800477 A /G were 1. 3%,7. 3% and 91. 4%,respectively,in control group; while were 0. 6%,8. 6% and90. 8%,respectively in case group; with no significant difference between the 2 groups. The frequencies of genotype AA,AC and CC of Bcl- 2 gene rs2279115 A /C were 9. 7%,44. 6% and 45. 7%,respectively,in control group; while were25. 8%,42. 1% and 32. 1%,respectively,in case group; with no significant difference between the 2 groups. Conclusion There is no association between endometriosis and rs1800477 A /G or rs2279115 A /C polymorphism of Bcl- 2 gene.
