Abstract
Objective To explore the significance of changes of serum TNF-α,TGF-β1 and VEGF levels before and after treatment in patients with endometriosis. Methods Serum TNF-α( with RIA). serum TGF-β1 and VEGF( with ELiSA) levels were determined in 33 patients with endometriosis before and after treatment as well as in 35 controls. Results Before treatment, serum TNF-α and VEGF levels were significantly higher in the patients than those in the controls( P 0. 01),but serum TGF-β1 levels were negatively lower( P 0. 01). 3 months after treatment, the levels were not much difference from those in the controls( P 0. 05). Serum TNF2 levels were positively correlated with serum VEGF levels( r = 0. 6011,P 0. 01),and negatively correlated with serum TGF-β1 levels( r =- 0. 4985,P 0. 01). Conclusion Changes of serum TNF-α,TGF-β1and VEGF might be helpful with pathogenesis exploration. It can serve as a measure for prevention and treatment of endometriosis.
