Laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis in treating dysmenorrhea of adenomyosis

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis on dysmenorrhea of adenomyosis.Methods Twenty patients with adenomyosis underwent laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis.The dysmenorrhea before and after surgery was evaluated and compared by chronic pain grade questionnaire.Results One month after surgery, dysmenorrhea of 35% patients was disappeared, and 45% three months postoperative.The other 20% patients were released from dysmenorrhea gradually with menstrual cycles.The average follow up time was 6.29 menstrual cycles.Seventeen women achieved complete alleviation, 3 partially alleviated, none unaffected.Conclusion Dysmenorrhea of adenomyosis can be satisfactorily alleviated by laparoscopic monopole electromyolysis.
