Iñarrea This is a preprint; it has not been peer reviewed by a journal. https://doi.org/ 10.21203/rs.3.rs-7427191/v1 This work is licensed under a CC BY 4.0 License Status: Posted Version 1 posted You are reading this latest preprint version Abstract We report a theoretical model on the microwave-induced resistance oscillations based on the coherent states of the quantum harmonic oscillator. We first obtain an expression for the coherent states of driven-quantum harmonic oscillators. Then, we make use of these new states in the microwave-induced electron orbit model to calculate the magnetoresistance under light. We find that the principle of minimum uncertainty of coherent states, involving time and energy, is at the heart of photo-oscillations and zero-resistance states. We extend the model applying quantum superposition to obtain even and odd coherent states for these systems. Consequently, we explain the resonant peak shift that appears in these samples when mobility is ultrahigh. Full Text Additional Declarations No competing interests reported. Ask this paper AI returns verbatim quotes from the full text · source: preprint-html

Answers must be backed by verbatim quotes from this paper's full text. Hallucinated quotes are dropped automatically; if no verbatim passage answers the question, we say so. How this works
