Empathy, stress and biopsychological homeostasis. Hormonal-loop disorders theory

Based on our self-regulatory model, we identified an integral system of biopsychological homeostasis. And on the example of its functioning, we showed that in a situation of long-term non-receiving of expected behavioral reward, while being in a social environment based on strict rules of behavior, on example of work environment, cognitive empathy enhances negative emotions, generating stress. Stress hormones directly affect circadian rhythms, disrupting biopsychological homeostasis. The circadian rhythms related hormones responsible for positive emotions through biologically induced behavior and emotional empathy compensate the impact. If compensation through positive emotions and emotional empathy is carried out, adaptation occurs, the level of circadian rhythms related hormones normalizes, and the level of stress hormones decreases. If compensation does not occur, stress is followed by an allostatic load, psychosomatics, further deterioration of the overall clinical picture, up to disorders of the immune system and clinical depression. Using the biopsychological homeostasis system hypothesis, we have demonstrated that seven stress hormones, Thyroid hormones (T3 + T4), Growth hormone, Cortisol, Glucagon, Norepinephrine, Adrenaline, and Thymus lymphocytes, T Cells have a direct impact on seven circadian rhythms related hormones, Insulin, Ghrelin, Adiponectin, Leptin, Vasopressin, Dopamine, Melatonin, respectively. While Serotonin, Endorphin and Oxytocin form the axis of end-to-end neurohumoral processes that directly control empathy and mood, which is confirmed by numerous clinical examples of mental disorders, primarily depression and autism.
