The Relationship between Endometriosis and IL-6,TNF-α,CA125 in Serum and Peritoneal Fluid of Patients

Objective To investigate the levels of IL-6,TNF-α,CA125 in serum and peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis and their relationship with the disease,and to find a quick and accurate method to dynamically monitor the development of endometriosis.Methods Levels of IL-6,TNF-α and CA125 in serum and portioned fluid (PF) were detected by radioimmunoassay and immunoradiometric assay in the patients with endometriosis and those without endometriosis. According to the revised American Fertility Society classification ( r-AFS),patients with endometriosis were divided group 1 and group 2,group 1 included patients in stageⅠand Ⅱ and group 2 included those in stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ.Results (1) In EMs group,the concentrations of IL-6 (207.91±40.24)pg/mL and TNF-α (1.28±0.55)ng/mL and CA125 (65.56±49.32)U/mL in serum were significantly higher than those in the control group [IL-6 (178.62±69.79)pg/mL,TNF-α (0.92±0.16 ) ng/mL,CA125 (39.82±22.64)U/mL,P0.05]. (2) In EMs group,the concentrations of [IL-6 (208.87± 44.87)pg/mL and TNF-α (1.32±0.17)ng/mL] in PF were significantly higher than those in the control group [IL-6 (164.12±41.33)pg/m,TNF-α (1.08±0.16)ng/mL,P0.05],but no significant difference was found in CA125 of PF [EMs group (243.43±161.04)U/mL,control group:(166.18±65.72) U/mlL]. (3) In group 1,concentrations of IL-6 (202.90 ±45.63)pg/mL and TNF-α (1.30 ±0.18)ng/mL and CA125 (61.54 ±39.32) U/mL in the serum were no significant difference compared with those of group 2 [IL-6 (210.60±37.66)pg/mL,TNF-α (1.35±0.13)ng/mL,CA125 (71.60±62.36)U/mL]. (4) In group 1,concentrations of IL-6 (204.58±33.65)pg/mL and TNF-α (1.18±0.11)ng/mL and CA125 (148.30±40.22 )U/mL in PF were no difference compared with those in group 2 [IL-6 (210.22±48.60)pg/mL;TNF-α (1.47±0.93)ng/mL;CA125 (173.73±77.12)U/mL].Conclusions IL-6,TNF-αand CA125 in serumor PF in patients with endometriosis are closely related with pathegenesis and development of the disease.The concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-α and CA125 in both serum and PF are not related to the clinic classification (r-AFS) ofendometriosis.
